Abraham Goldberg (1906–1980) was a highly respected Israeli painter, widely celebrated for his profound devotion to preserving the visual memories of traditional European Jewish life. Born in Poland, he immigrated to British Mandate Palestine at the age of 16 before embarking on formative academic periods in both New York and Paris. While abroad, he integrated the raw emotional depth of the Jewish School of Paris into his practice. Often referred to by critics as the "Jewish Rembrandt," Goldberg’s legacy rests on his rare ability to imbue intimate, miniature ink and oil works with monumental spiritual weight.
