Leo Kahn (1897–1983) was a German-born Israeli painter who studied in Karlsruhe and Berlin, where he was part of Max Liebermann's circle. After years of working in Paris and the South of France alongside artists like Derain, he immigrated to Israel in 1936. Kahn was a versatile artist who founded Israel’s first textile printing factory and later became a central figure in the Safed Artists' Colony. His work elegantly bridges European post-impressionism with Israeli modernism.
