About the Artist:
Peri (Fery) Rosenfeld was a highly celebrated Hungarian-born twentieth-century Israeli painter, illustrator, and caricaturist who immigrated to Israel and studied at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. Renowned for his psychological depth and loose artistic styling, Rosenfeld was awarded the prestigious Dizengoff Prize for Painting and Sculpture in 1948 and the Nordau Prize in 1966. His fine art outputs, particularly his lyrical Israeli landscapes and maritime scenes, are held in private collections and recognized widely across the Israeli graphic arts history.
