Shoshana Damari, Israel Prize laureate and iconic national singer, was also an accomplished visual artist. Over the years, she created hundreds of paintings, most of them in oil. She painted quietly in her spare time, mostly at home, and never exhibited her works during her lifetime. Her art was inspired by childhood memories, female figures, Yemenite heritage, and the landscapes of Israel. After her passing, her paintings were featured in special exhibitions, and her original works are now considered rare and highly sought after.
