About the Artist:
Asher Ein Dor (1943–2021), born Asher Dickstein, was a legendary Israeli illustrator and a founding father of Israeli comics. Growing up in Tel Aviv's Neve Tzedek, he became a pioneer in the 1960s, editing the iconic "Buki" series and illustrating legendary covers for "Patrick Kim," "Hasamba," and "Tarzan." His vast career spanned from the "Lahiton" weekly to illustrating the stories of Pinchas Sadeh. In later years, he became a Chabad follower living in Safed, where he promoted ultra-Orthodox comics. His fine art paintings are a rare bridge between his secular graphic legacy and his profound spiritual journey.
